Maybe while she uses her high kido spells, it could also mean she use to be part of the 13 squads. Aizen says something that may indicates that he has seen her before when she attacks him (plus he does knows about the cannon). I would have to say that she has something to do with Yoruichi and then she lost her arm during conflict in soul society. [Maybe but then I'm not sure]

Maybe...maybe not. I've noticed even in the anime that her arm was a fake. I even think remembering in the anime she says something like "don't think I can't beat the crap out of you two with just one arm" to Ichigo and Ganju. I really don't understand how people didn't even realize it. However, I really have no clue as to how she lost it except maybe she lost it in some fireworks accident?
